Form 1040 – Capital Gain or Loss When you check the box on line 13 you must also have an amount on line 13. Remove the check in the box or place an amount on line 13. Before you re-submit your return, go to Step 2, scroll down and input the current date below the date of birth. The current date is the day you intend to e-file the return again.
