Because there is more than one-way to calculate a loss for line 34, you must enter line 34 (profit or loss) yourself. Indicate a loss by placing a minus sign in front of your loss (e.g. -598). Before you re-submit your return, go to Step 2 Section 4 and input the current date below the date of birth. The current date is the day you intend to e-file the return again.
